KMDC launched 5th intake of the Postgraduated KM Diploma Program


Knowledge Management Development Centre Ltd. (KMDC) is organizing the 5th intake of the Knowledge Management Diploma Program this year in partnership with Centre for Information Technology in Education (CITE) - the University of Hong Kong. The program begins on 16 September 2006. The objective of this Program is to present a comprehensive view on Knowledge Management from both practitioner and academic perspectives. Mr. Alan Lai represented Hong Kong at the 2nd Annual Singapore International Lawn Bowls Championships 2006

Mr. Alan Lai Chi Yung, a Web Developer at WiderWorld, represented Hong Kong at the 2nd Annual Singapore International Lawn Bowls Championships 2006, held in Singapore between 22-26 June, 2006. Alan was Hong Kong's 2003 (U-25) club singles champion and the first runner-up in 2005 junior single competition. WiderWorld would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Alan in his great achievement in the sport.

conducted Knowlegde Management Workshop at LEAP

Mr. Michael Liang, Founder and Director of WiderWorld, conducted a Knowledge Management Workshop for LEAP (Life Education Activity Programme) at the LEAP's Training Centre on April 12, 2006. LEAP, a registered charity in Hong Kong, is an internationally recognised health awareness/drug prevention programme for students to make them aware of the advantages of a healthy lifestyle and the dangers of drugs and other substance abuse. WiderWorld and PolyU's Institute of Textiles and Clothing (ITC) successfully held the 3nd Annual Apparel Challenge on October 5th, 2005. The seminar focus on the widely adopted RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. Dr. Lawrence Cheung from Hong Kong Productivity Council and Mr. Sam Liu from Power Electronics were invited to share about the experience in the applications of RFID technology in the apparel industry. Knowledge Management Symposium 2005 was successfully held on May 20th, 2005. Over 300 participants joined this KMDC event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. WiderWorld was one of the sixteen supporting organizations promoting this event to the local business community.
